Having worked in the meetings/events industry for 10+ years (on the venue side), I am about creating experiences, and I approach every event with that mindset. Your event should be an “experience” that you AND your guests remember and talk about for years to come. One of my favorite aspects of what I do is engaging with couples to customize music for the their wedding.
At the actual event, I enjoy engaging guests while playing that piano. There’s no better connector than music, and that is SO evident to me sitting at that piano, sharing smiles and laughs with guests, a joke – a conversation. And there’s no better seat in the house than behind that piano, reading the crowd and having conversations with people through the music.
For many years, music was my “side hustle,” with gigs coming via word of mouth and friend referrals. Eventually, the demand for my performances turned that passion into my profession. While engaged in those careers, music was a constant, and I frequently wondered to myself if I could make it (music) work as a career. Well, I stopped wondering and here I am.
